Resources

Moving Pictures
By National Ageing Research
Institute & AfCAS

Description

We are pleased to announce that our Deputy Chair, Mary Gurgone, was involved with Professor Mike Kent, in launching the Moving Pictures Resources to raise dementia awareness in Australia’s culturally and linguistically diverse communities. The resources resulted from a collaborative project led by the National Ageing Research Institute and Curtin University co-produced with people from Culturally & Linguistically Diverse backgrounds (Italian, Greek, Vietnamese, Spanish, Hindi, Tamil, Cantonese, Mandarin and Arabic-speaking communities).

These short films cover the signs and symptoms of dementia, navigating care, and the carer’s journey. The films feature the stories and lived experiences of carers of people living with dementia, and the expert views of key service providers.
